Virtual/Remote Opportunity

The Million Step Tour

Date: 28 June - 20 July

Where: Wherever you are in the world!

Charity: Cure Leukaemia

Show your support for the riders of The Tour 21 by joining this year’s virtual challenge – The Million Step Tour.

Create your team (max. 5 people from anywhere in the world) and commit to walk as a team, 1,000,000 steps over three weeks. You don’t have to just walk, running and cycling is also allowed. You will be able to see your team progress across the Tour de France route and track yourself against other teams from across Flutter. And no challenge is the same without prizes, so sign up today and take on The Million Step Tour!

Become a Park Run Volunteer!

Donate Blood (England)

Where: UK

Charity: Give Blood

Giving blood is simple and it saves lives. When you give blood, it is collected so it can be used to treat someone else. Before you give blood: Check you are able to give blood.

Charity: Working Options

Share you own career journey along with any curveballs along the way, share top tips with young people for moving from the world of education into the world of work, share employer expectations, provide an insight into the variety of roles available in the sector the volunteer works in, be willing to answer questions posed by the young people.

Volunteer Buddy for Buddies For All

Where: UK

Charity: Buddies For All

Buddies for All aims to enrich the lives of disabled people in their community by building supportive and understanding relationships. As a Buddy Volunteer, you'll be paired with a disabled individual who may experience loneliness or seek social interaction. Through regular online, phone, or in-person conversations—for at least 1 hour a week, for 8-10 weeks —you'll foster connection, provide emotional support, and encourage participation in social and leisure activities within the community.

Charity: National Trust

Expand your skills and meet new people when you volunteer with us. You’ll be helping to care for nature and history for many others to enjoy.

Volunteer with A Space 2 Grow

Where: Sunderland

Charity: A Space 2 Grow

A Space 2 Grow is a community garden at St Peters, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland. Help with general jobs such as planting, watering, weeding and tidying. No prior gardening knowledge is required as they will show you what to do.

Warehouse Volunteer for Sunderland Food Bank

Where: Sunderland

Charity: The Trussell Trust

Join the Sunderland Food Bank team and support with the day-to-day running of the food bank. You’ll be part of a team sorting and packing food and additional items in the warehouse. You’ll be organised and have an eye for detail; this includes checking, weighing and recording stock and sorting food by date and type. This is a physical role as you’ll be on your feet a lot and you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.
