The Million Step Tour

Show your support for the riders of The Tour 21 by joining this year’s virtual challenge – The Million Step Tour.

Create your team (max. 5 people from anywhere in the world) and commit to walk as a team, 1,000,000 steps over three weeks. You don’t have to just walk, running and cycling is also allowed. You will be able to see your team progress across the Tour de France route and track yourself against other teams from across Flutter. AMSA are supporting over 1,200 Men’s Sheds in Australia. AMSA provides practical support and assistance, promotes the Men’s Shed movement to corporate and community partners, and advocates to government and health organisations on behalf of thousands of Australian men. Join the community today!

Become a Red Cross Shop volunteer

Charity: Australian Red Cross

The Australian Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and support to vulnerable people in Australia and internationally. They offer a wide range of services, including blood donation, first aid training, and community programs aimed at promoting health, safety, and social inclusion.

The Australian Red Cross is seeking volunteers for their retail shops to sell new and pre-loved items. This role offers a chance to connect with the community, work with fashion, and support Red Cross teams providing care and support 365 days a year.

Technology for Australian Museum

Volunteering online is a great way to join the community and contribute your skills without the requirement of being onsite. Volunteers join virtual expeditions from institutions around the world, including the Australian Museum. You can transcribe (type out) content contained in collection labels, historical documents or even identify animals. By transcribing you are helping to make natural history collections more accessible for scientific and cultural research. There is no prior knowledge or skills required to volunteer, and can help transcribe collections online anywhere and anytime!

This mission is remote, so can be completed from home, on your own schedule. You can create however many letters you like. You can write in English and many other languages.
