Move more this May with Do More Miles – our virtual charity fitness and wellbeing challenge – as we tour the world’s World Cup locations together!
We’re setting off on a global journey inspired by the upcoming World Cup, and every kilometre logged moves us further along the route. Choose your challenge distance then walk, run, cycle or wheel your way throughout May to complete it and earn a Do More Together medal. We’ve also built in optional fundraising to make it easy for you to support a local cause and help us do more for our communities.
Practice unified sport with athletes with disabilities
Where: Various sports facilities in Milan, Monza and Villasanta (MB)
When: Milan: every Tuesday from 17.15 to 19.00 pm
Monza: from Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:30, at the (Swimming pool in via Murri 37)
Villasanta (MB): Tuesday from 13:00 to 18:00 (Sports Center in via Mameli)
Charity: Special Olympics
Special Olympics organizes inclusive activities through the Unified Sports program: athletes with and without disabilities play together on the same team, laying the foundations for overcoming any stereotype or prejudice.
The activity consists of giving support in these inclusive workouts, for example by helping the technicians in the preparation of training courses; participating in the warm-up phases and in the execution of the exercises; involving and creating relationships with athletes and technicians.
Entertainment for Children at a Summer Camp
Where: Istituto Buon Pastore, Via San Vittore 29, 20123 Milano
When: 8th to 20th June
Charity: Sport Senza Frontiere
JOYPOINT is a summer sports center with a social vocation organized by Sport Senza Frontiere, where minors from fragile families living in conditions of economic difficulty are welcomed.
Volunteers will be able to help in carrying out the activities, supporting boys and girls in sports practices, workshops or during lunch. If you have skills in a particular sport, you can also make them available in dedicated workshops.
Empowerment Activities for vulnerable women
Where: Spazio Donna Giambellino (Piazza Tirana 32) or Corvetto (Via Romili 4), Milano
When: Piazza Tirana: Thursday from 15:00 to 18:00

Charity: WeWorld
The Spazio Donna Program aims to increase women's empowerment as a primary way for the prevention and emergence of gender-based violence. The beneficiaries of this project are women in fragile conditions, both Italian and foreign, and the volunteer activity can include: recreational-recreational activities (p.es yoga, pilates), personal well-being, language courses (Italian, English), transfer of basic computer skills, or drafting and revision of CVs.
Study Support for children and young people

The Frequency 200 project fights against school dropout and educational poverty, which takes place in WeWorld's aggregation and informal education centers that integrate the educational work carried out by schools. The beneficiaries of this project are children in the 11-16 age group from socio-economic and cultural marginalized backgrounds, and the volunteers' activity, depending on their personal skills, may include: dance/sports courses, study and homework support, English coursTuesdaye.

You can personally help Save the Dogs raise funds for animals who share their lives with people in need in Milan, providing your time, skills and relationships to collaborate in some activities such as:

Every week, donated goods destined for animal projects in Italy and Romania are handled at the association's warehouse. The volunteer, supported by Save the Dogs staff, will give valuable support in the weekly sorting of donated goods, and occasionally in inventory activities.

Solidando is a supermarket where families in difficulty can shop for free. You will be able to take care of the management of the social market, help with shopping, guard the tills, store goods, distribute fruit and vegetables. The work of the volunteer is a team effort aimed at offering those who arrive to do their shopping a dignified and satisfying experience.
Panificando - Solidarity Bakery

The volunteers of Panificando are the soul of the social bakery and have the burden and honor of producing with their hands the most essential, humble and noble food of all, bread, to then give it to those who have none. You will be able to produce the bread that is distributed daily in solidarity supermarkets
Support for the logistics of the Solidarity Hub
Where: Via Santa Croce, Milano
When: From Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 13:30.

The Hub is the logistical heart of the Charity, where the goods donated daily by large retailers and supermarkets arrive. The Hub volunteers play a fundamental role: they sort and select the goods according to type and quality, discarding any unsuitable products and making sure that everything is well stored before distribution. Every contribution is essential to ensure that the flow of food aid reaches its destination quickly and effectively.
Bicycle repair workshop
Where: Via Costantino Baroni 228, Milano
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00
Charity: Comunità Oklahoma
Support the young guests of Comunità Oklahoma in the repair and maintenance of bicycles, with the guidance of the responsible of the bicycle workshop, who will share practical technical skills with a view to enhancing manual work. No special skills are needed in repairs. This volunteering is an opportunity to convey autonomy through "doing together".
Plant care in the social garden of 'LaComnue'

You will be able to support young people with intellectual disabilities in their training as green operators. Alongside experienced educators and gardeners, you will support the children in all seasonal activities: from preparing the land and planting, to taking care of the greenhouses and picking flowers. Inside the garden there is a greenhouse and an indoor laboratory where various activities can be carried out in case of bad weather.

In this inclusive commercial reality, the volunteer can support in the typical tasks of a florist the people with disabilities employed in this inclusive flower shop. The activities range from the creation of compositions and the care of the plants (irrigation, repotting), up to the reception and relationship with the customer. Creativity and passion for flowers are welcome, but not fundamental; the important thing is the will to do good.
Recovery of unsold food from markets

Charity: Recup
The main activity consists in the recovery of unsold fruit and vegetables in the various local markets or at the Mercato Ortofrutticolo in Milan, involving the beneficiaries in the action and thus creating active citizenship. The surplus is collected from the stalls and brought to the Recup space, the products are sorted between good and inedible, and the selected products are distributed to associations active in the area for the fight against poverty.
Audio Book production

Record spoken books for blind and visually impaired people, after having carried out a short 2-hour online training, during which you will be educated on the use of software for audio recording, on the recording of audios usable by people with visual impairments, on breathing and the right posture for reading aloud. The only necessary requirement is to have a desktop PC or laptop and headphones with a microphone.
Creation of small objects for hospitalized children

Independently and remotely, you can create greeting cards or small objects, using recycled materials, following the instructions in the video tutorials available on the association's portal.
The cards and objects made will accompany the sweets that are donated in the solidarity campaigns for the oncohematology department of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital. The creations made must be sent to the headquarters of the association on dates to be agreed.
