Below you will find lots of opportunities organized by some dedicated Do More champions and by our global volunteer partner, OnHand.

Virtual/Remote Opportunity

The Million Step Tour

Date: 28 June - 20 July

Where: Wherever you are in the world!

Charity: Cure Leukaemia

Show your support for the riders of The Tour 21 by joining this year’s virtual challenge – The Million Step Tour.

Create your team (max. 5 people from anywhere in the world) and commit to walk as a team, 1,000,000 steps over three weeks. You don’t have to just walk, running and cycling is also allowed. You will be able to see your team progress across the Tour de France route and track yourself against other teams from across Flutter. And no challenge is the same without prizes, so sign up today and take on The Million Step Tour!

Donate Clothing and Shoes to Humana

Where: Portugal

Charity: Humana

Humana is a pioneer in the selective collection and sustainable management of textiles. You can deposit your unused clothes, shoes and home textiles in one of their 1,030 containers available from the north to the south of the country.

Donate to the "Paper for Food" Campaign

Where: Portugal

Charity: Food Bank Against Hunger

The value obtained from the sale of paper to certified waste operators is converted by the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger into basic food products to distribute locally. The "Paper for Food" Campaign is part of a broader ideal of raising awareness of the importance of each person's role in society and the world and the possibility of recovering and reusing things that seem to have no value.

Donate items to Madrugada

Where: Portugal

Charity: Madrugada Portugal

Madrugada is happy to accept any saleable items; clothing, bric-a-brac, toys, books, collectables, working electrical items, furniture, bed linen and small household items, at any of their shops. We love to re-use what you no longer want. You can drop them off at one of our charity shops, call us to arrange for a free collection of larger household and garden items such as furniture.

Outreach Volunteer

Where: Portugal

Charity: Associação Mais Proximidade (AMP)

Associação Mais Proximidade (AMP) was created in 2010, with the aim of combating Loneliness and Isolation among the elderly population living in downtown Lisbon and Mouraria. Volunteer as an outreach volunteer and complete weekly phone calls with AMP service users.

LGBTI+ Support Line Volunteer

Where: Portugal

Charity: ILGA Portugal

Founded in 1995, the ILGA Portugal Association – Intervention Lésbica, Gay, Bisexual, Trans e Intersexo is the oldest association that fights for equality and against discrimination of LGBTI+ people and their families in Portugal. Join the team as a support line volunteer. Duties include telephone and digital support; listen and dialogue with understanding, attention and respect.

Share Your Skills with AMP

Where: Portugal

Charity: Associação Mais Proximidade (AMP)

Associação Mais Proximidade (AMP) was created in 2010, with the aim of combating Loneliness and Isolation among the elderly population living in downtown Lisbon and Mouraria. You can help the team with areas like graphic design, web design, marketing and advertising or participation in events, awareness raising and fundraising actions.

Volunteer for your local Food Bank Against Hunger

Where: Portugal

Charity: Food Bank Against Hunger

The main objective of the Food Bank is the fight against waste. The role of the Food Bank is therefore to deliver products, which are intended for food, to people who are totally or partially excluded from access to consumption, due to lack of financial resources. There are various ways you can help at your local food bank.

Beach Cleanup

Date: Under Reservation

Duration: 2.5 hrs

Where: Praia da Madalena

Charity: Liga para a Protecção da Natureza

A beach cleanup is an environmental activity where volunteers gather to remove litter and debris from beaches. The goal is to maintain the natural beauty of the coastline, protect marine life, and prevent pollution. Participants typically collect items like plastic bottles, bags, and other waste materials that can harm wildlife and ecosystems.

Blood Donation

Date: 25th June and 26th November

Time: 9h – 13h

Where: Blip Office

Charity: Instituto Português de Sangue

At Blip, you can donate blood to support the IPS (Instituto Português de Sangue), helping to ensure that those in need have access to vital blood.

Goods collection

Date: 3 times a year – 25th June and 26th November

Time: 9h – 13h

Where: Blip Office

Charity: Vida Norte

Collect products for women (Personal hygiene products) and babies (diapers, bottles, clothes)

Projecto reconstruir

Date: TBD

Time: TBD

Where: Tadim, Braga

Charity: Meeru

The RECONSTRUIR project aims to promote housing access for migrant and refugee families, as well as Portuguese families living in Portugal.


To achieve this, 6 houses are being built in Tadim, Braga, with construction costs reduced through the use of donated land and materials, and by mobilizing volunteers to support the construction work.
