Warehouse Volunteer for Warrington Foodbank
Task Type: Sorting Donations
Charity: Warrington Foodbank
Acting as the link between food donations coming in and reaching those in crisis, you’ll support the smooth running of your local food bank. You’ll be part of a team sorting and packing food and additional items in the warehouse. You’ll be organised and have an eye for detail; this includes checking, weighing and recording stock and sorting food by date and type.
Coffee Shop Volunteer for The Rosemere Cancer Foundation

Charity: The Rosemere Cancer Foundation
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world class cancer care across Lancashire & South Cumbria. They have a volunteer-run coffee shop here at the Cancer Centre, which relies on its staff to be able to commit a few hours to a regular weekly or fortnightly shift.

Retail Support for Mencap's Charity Shop
Task Type: Retail Support
Charity: Mencap
Mencap is a UK charity that supports people with a learning disability. We also support their families and carers. We're looking for volunteers for our shops who are as passionate about supporting people with a learning disability as we are. In return you will develop new skills, gain experience, and make new friends.
Volunteer with Inspire Youth Zone
Task Type: Group Club Support
Charity: Inspire Youth Zone
By volunteering with Inspire, you’ll be helping the young people in our local area build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills. It doesn’t matter what your experience or background is, or how much time you have. No skills or qualifications are needed just a passion and interest to motivate youngsters and ensure sessions are made fun, interactive and safe – you will be part of an amazing team assisting the youth workers/play leaders.

Share you own career journey along with any curveballs along the way, share top tips with young people for moving from the world of education into the world of work, share employer expectations, provide an insight into the variety of roles available in the sector the volunteer works in, be willing to answer questions posed by the young people.
Volunteer Reading Coach

Charity: Read Easy
Read Easy is a national charity which provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching to the millions of adults in the UK who can’t read at all or who struggle to read. For most roles, Read Easy does not insist on any particular set of skills, but looks for enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn.

Team volunteering day with Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust
Task Type: Team Mission
Charity: Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust
Book in a team day with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, a charity that creates, restores and protects the world's most vulnerable wetland habitats for future generations. Depending on the time of year and the Wetland Centre where your team is volunteering, activities may include planting wildflower meadows, coppicing trees and shrubs, removing invasive plant species, painting and restoring wildlife hides, repairing and refurbishing boardwalks and bridges, even donning waders and working from within our ponds and reed beds.

Book in a team with with the Ribble River Trust, a Lancashire based charity working to improve the River Ribble and all its tributaries for both people and wildlife. An environmental team away day can involve activities such as cleaning up rivers and waterways, planting trees, or building habitats for wildlife.
