Community Gardening for Blaise Community Garden

Description:
Set up in 2013, Blaise Community Garden is a community food growing project. If you’d like to get involved and volunteer you will receive a great welcome, a careful briefing of what is involved and the opportunity to become a member of the garden. You don’t have to come every week or stay for the whole session. You will be greeted by a volunteer coordinator who will tell you what you need to know and help you find a job to do. They stop for tea mid-morning!
Van Driver Reserve Volunteer for South & East Bristol Foodbank

Description:
You'll need to have a Category C entitlement on your driver's licence to drive inHope's electric van. inHope needs volunteers who are comfortable volunteering within their Christian ethos ( more information here: www.inhope.uk/about/vision-and-values/ and here: https://www.inhope.uk/about/our-statement-of-faith/ ), and can commit to at least 3 months of volunteering.
Help build a shed for Headway Bristol's allotment

Description:
Headway Bristol provides information, support and services to people with brain injury, and their families and carers. They promote an understanding of all aspects of brain injury. Their services encompass all stages of a brain injury journey; from immediate support via hospital visits, to supporting individuals reconvening their lives in the community. At their Reablement & Wellbeing Centre, individuals can practice or re-learn skills that may have been affected after a brain injury.
Volunteer at the Ashton Park Parkrun

Description:
Parkrun events take place every week and everyone is welcome to volunteer, we’d love you to join in! There are plenty of opportunities to try new roles, apply your skills or learn new ones, be with friends and family, meet people and be a part of the parkrun community. You don’t need any experience of parkrun, junior parkrun or of volunteering. There are a range of roles to choose from, and many of them can be combined with walking or running too.

Description:
Hiding behind the walls of the Blaise Estate in Henbury, Bristol lies a secret garden, first established in the 1800’s, which has been long since forgotten. The project is entirely volunteer led, and is intended to provide a chance for members of the community to come together, learn about growing plants, and share their time to grow some delicious produce.
Support Bristol Goods Food Club for Caring in Bristol

Description:
For a small membership fee, Caring in Bristol's food clubs provide nutritious and affordable food that allows their members’ weekly budget to go further. In addition, Bristol Goods provides resources that open up access to advice and support on subjects beyond food. Trained staff from Caring in Bristol's Early Doors project and partner agencies often attend to offer information on housing, energy bills, mental health and more.

Ignite Life supports young people and families by providing holistic care tailored to individual needs. Ignite focuses on relieving the needs of disadvantaged and/or marginalised young people through supporting wellbeing and mental health, educational support, food poverty, family support, access to sports and other life-changing opportunities, and addressing economic inequalities. Accept this action and follow the instructions below to get involved.
