Keeping You Safe
Every single volunteer you'll meet through onHand has been through a DBS Check and an interview with our volunteer assessment team. That means you're not inviting just anyone into your home - you're inviting a trusted, vetted volunteer.
The Disclosure and Barring Service is a public body sponsored by the Home Office, trusted by large and small organisations across the country to uncover if someone is unsuitable for working with older or vulnerable people. That's why we've chosen them to check every single volunteer using onHand.
The onHand team is always there to answer any safeguarding complaints or reports, and we check-in with you, your older relatives and volunteers after each task is completed to make sure everyone is 100% satisfied.
"I didn't want some stranger coming to my house, so it was reassuring to know onHand had vetted my volunteer and we'd chatted beforehand"
