Community Gardening with YMCA Belfast
Task Type: Team Mission
Charity: YMCA Belfast
Belfast YMCA have been serving children, young people and communities across Belfast for over 170 years. The Belfast YMCA Community Garden is a peaceful space in South Belfast, created to bring people and nature together. They have a growing team of committed volunteers who have caught the vision for the garden and connecting people to nature. They would love you to join them as we develop the garden further and build community.
Admin Support for Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke
Task Type: Skill Based Task
Charity: Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke
Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke's mission is to prevent chest heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland and care for those already affected by them. They are looking for a volunteer to work in the Belfast Office one day/morning/afternoon a week (negotiable depending on availability) to help with some administrative tasks. A knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Excel would be a bonus, but full training can be provided.
Wellness Session Volunteer for Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke
Task Type: Wellness
Charity: Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke
Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke's mission is to prevent chest heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland and care for those already affected by them. Under the supervision of a co-ordinator, volunteers assist those attending the session to participate in the activities arranged. Volunteers must have the ability to take direction and carry out instructions. Good communication and people skills. They must be willing to work as part of a team.
Donate Blood (Northern Ireland)
Task Type: Blood Donation
Charity: The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service
The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service exists to fully supply the needs of all hospitals and clinical units in the province with safe and effective blood and blood products and other related services. Donate food to a Hubbub Community Fridge
Task Type: Food Donation
Charity: Hubub
A community fridge is a space that brings people together to share food, meet up, learn new skills and prevent fresh food from going to waste. They’re open to all and anyone can share or take food, including surplus from supermarkets, local food businesses, producers, households and gardens. Fridges are run by community groups in shared spaces such as schools, community centres and shops. There are over 600 fridges across the UK (and counting).
Moving Forward Volunteer
Task Type: Skilled Volunteering
Charity: Moving Foward
Our Moving Forward services and information are for anyone living with and beyond breast cancer, helping them approach life after treatment with increased confidence. Our Moving Forward courses usually take place over two consecutive weeks and are delivered by a Moving Forward Facilitator, in partnership with NHS hospitals and are supported by on-demand online resources.
Volunteer with Belfast Central Mission
Task Type: Support Mission
Whether offering companionship as a befriender to an older person, lending a hand at events, or supporting behind the scenes, every volunteer helps bring dignity, hope, and practical support to those who need it most. Volunteer with Storehouse
Task Type: Food Support
Volunteers support food distribution, community meals, sorting donations, and helping people in need access essential supplies. Whether it’s sorting food in our warehouse, stacking the shelves in our food shop, delivering and collecting furniture in our van, or helping out during one of our midweek sessions in our city–centre venue, there are so many different ways to get involved, all throughout the week.

We undertake a range of activities in both urban and rural areas, from planting trees and wild flower meadows, to building stiles, clearing footpaths or creating new food growing projects.
