Read with me! is looking for reading mentors for daycare centers and elementary schools in Wiesbaden.Volunteers read aloud to children aged 3-6 years in small groups of no more than 4-5 children for approximately 30 minutes once a week. Typically, the volunteers read to 2 or 3 groups consecutively. Accept this mission to find out more and get involved!
Mentors for refugees
Where: Wiesbaden, Hesse
Refugees want to arrive and move forward! They are in a special situation: They have to learn a new language, find their way in a new environment, and deal with a foreign culture. Mentors can accompany and support individuals, couples, or families in their daily lives. How a mentoring relationship is structured depends on both the needs of the refugees and the abilities and interests of the mentors. Shared leisure activities and conversations, support in learning German language and culture, and accompaniment to doctor's appointments or visits to government offices are just a few examples of what a mentoring relationship can involve. Sewing and mending costumes

For our cultural jungle, we need nimble hands to help with sewing and mending costumes, ironing, and generally getting everything in tip-top shape during the season .Since 2016, we have been bringing grand theatre to the open-air stage. With the cultural jungle as our permanent home, we continued on our path: the fusion of art, culture and nature – a concept that is unique in Germany in this implementation. Support group for people with dementia -A break for family caregivers of people with memory problems or dementia We are looking for volunteers for our support groups for people with dementia to provide respite for family caregivers.Support people with memory problems or dementia in a friendly and relaxed group setting.
