Calthorpe Community Gardens, Group Volunteering Day
When: 16th September
Where: Near Kings Cross, London
Time: 1.30pm - 4.30pm
Charity: The Final Straw Foundation
For nearly forty years, Calthorpe Community Garden has served the local community and provided a green oasis in the centre of London.
The Bell Integration team have been invited along for a half day (1:30pm - 4:30pm), to help with maintaining the site, planting, composting, shredding, painting, refurbishing, seed sowing and much more.
Volunteers needed in Save The Children charity shop

We have almost 90 charity shops across the UK that are run with volunteers. As a volunteer you can help to create eye-catching window displays and even give up-cycling a go. Volunteering in our shops is easy and flexible. Most shops just ask you to do a regular few hours per week. Your availability is something we will discuss once you've applied.
Donate Blood (England)

Donate hair to the Little Princess Trust

Donating your long locks to help children and young people experiencing the devastating effects of hair loss is an incredibly generous thing to do. We can accept hair of any natural colour as long as it is in a good condition. But before you cut your hair, make sure you wash and dry it thoroughly. If conditioner needs to be used please ensure it is rinsed out and please do not use styling products.

Volunteer Buddy for Buddies for All
Task Type: Mentoring (Remote)
Charity: Buddies for All
Buddies for All aims to enrich the lives of disabled people in their community by building supportive and understanding relationships. As a Buddy Volunteer, you'll be paired with a disabled individual who may experience loneliness or seek social interaction. Through regular online, phone, or in-person conversations—for at least 1 hour a week, for 8-10 weeks —you'll foster connection, provide emotional support, and encourage participation in social and leisure activities within the community.

Your answers help them to understand issues dogs and their humans face, so they can do everything they can to help.
Knits for Kits! for Cats Protection

Knit for Sands

Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. You can support Sands and help make a huge difference to the families that receive memory boxes by knitting/crochet a blanket. Sands are very grateful for the effort, care and love put into each blanket.
Get Crafty for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a UK charity which trains dogs to alert deaf people to a variety of sounds. Make snuffle mats and ragger toys for their puppies and dogs. They love them! Recycle your glasses

Want to recycle your old glasses? You can now do so in-store thanks to Specsavers' partnership with MYgroup, a recycling and waste disposal company, that will turn your old glasses into something different. Recycling boxes can be found in most UK optical stores, so you can place your old or used glasses in there, and they will be turned into something different and useful.
Community Connector for Carers UK

Carers UK is the leading national charity for unpaid carers. We support, advocate for, champion and connect carers across the UK, so that no one has to care alone. As a volunteer, we will help you to use your skills to help carers get the support and guidance they need. A Community Connector helps Carers UK connect with carers and promote awareness of caring by distributing publicity material – such as leaflets and posters – within local communities.
Puppy Socialiser for Veterans with Dogs

Volunteer puppy socialisers provide specially-bred puppies a safe home, take them to training, maintain a healthy diet, provide socialisation opportunities and give lots of love. Each hour spent caring for one of our puppies is vital to its development as a future assistance dog. Missing People have launched a weekly email so that you can be aware of new missing person appeals and share them far and wide! They are also calling on all Heroes to be the eyes and ears for Missing People on the ground. Your sighting of a missing person could make a difference in a crucial time.

The Final Straw Foundation is a charity reducing the amount of single use plastics in the environment and fighting for clean seas.
